A unique collaboration to make the world a better place.

The Green Crew is a unique collaboration between the Izaak Walton Leader — MN Valley Chapter and the Boy Scouts of America’s (BSA) Northern Star Council’s Venturing Program. The Crew is led by a leadership team that operates as a BSA Venturing Crew. All of the leadership team members and adult advisors are registered members of the BSA Venture Crew 3311. In addition, the Crew organizes and leads environmental adventures under the guidance and oversight of the Izaak Walton Leagues’ Youth Program Oversight Committee. Green Crew adventures involve as many youths as possible — both as participants in the adventure and Green Crew members.

The Izaak Walton League – MN Valley Chapter is committed to engaging diverse youth in meaningful environmental projects. They have adopted the framework of the BSA’s Venturing Program to add leadership development, training, Youth Protection Training (YPT), and program support. The Green Crew also intends to help add more environmental resources to the overall Scouting program and youth programming for the Izaak Walton League.
