Learn to Test Water Quality

 Learn to Test Water Quality

Join us to learn how to test the water quality of the Minnesota River, our local wetlands, and how to guide a River Watch collection this summer!

Saturday, April 24, 1:00-3:30
Green Crew Chapter House
6601 Auto Club Drive, Bloomington MN

The Minnesota River runs through our communities. There are many things that can affect the quality of the river. The changing water quality has an impact on the living things that call it and its banks home.

By regularly testing the quality of the river we are part of a citizen-science project. We are collecting important data used by the DNR and the MPCA to guide programs and policy. We are additionally collecting data about the wetlands surrounding our Chapter House. This will allow us to plan appropriate projects to protect the wetland habitat.

Join us to be oriented on the River Watch project, be trained in the equipment, and then go for a walk to test the water quality. This 2 1/2 hour adventure will be a great way to get outside, get some exercise, and do good!
