April 30 — Northern Trail Restoration Day

April 30 — Northern Trail Restoration Day

Help us to restore a nature trail to our Outdoor Classroom and Campsite:

April 30, 12:30-5:00
Green Crew Chapter House
6601 Auto Club Drive, Bloomington MN

People need to be out in nature. Walking, hiking, biking, and skiing trails are important to our physical, mental, and spiritual health. Doing this on established trails is important for our environment.

Too often, trails are built but not maintained. Or they are built with human use in mind, ignoring the needs of animals and plants. Green Crew is informed by science to ensure we are building sustainable trails for humans in nature.

As a Green Crew member, you can be part of planning, restoring, and maintaining nature trails that balance plants, animals, and human use of special natural areas.

On this Northern Trail Restoration Day, we will re-establish an old trail that went through the northern part of the Izaak Walton League – Minnesota Valley Chapter’s property. We will be weaving the trail safely through the oak forest to and from the proposed outdoor classroom and campsite.
