Outdoor Ethics

One of Green Crew’s core values is promoting responsible engagement with the outdoors. As a conservation organization, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and share these principles through community education and outreach.

LNT Workshops

Leave No Trace Workshops

Leave No Trace Workshops are four-hour events led by a member of the Friends of the MN Valley and a Green Crew member. We cover each of the seven principles, perform skits that exhibit LNT behavior, and lead youth and anyone interested through activities that model the right way to treat the outdoors and the wrong way.

Being informed is the best way to make decisions, and through our workshops, we teach kids of all ages how to make the best and safest decisions for both the woods and themselves.

The TEK Workshop

Young leaders and youth exploring traditional ways of interacting with nature challenge our traditional understandings of outdoor ethics.

We are exploring a development of LNT inspired principles that better fit our growing understanding of indigenous practices and teachings.
